The Sharper Cut, Inc. first started off 15 years ago as two young kids just wanting to earn a few dollars. Their first piece of equipment was a 21” mower and the trunk of their father’s civic. For years, this system worked out until our President, Bill Banford, became old enough to drive. The company bought its first truck and trailer combo 9 years ago. Justin Banford, Bill’s younger brother, is soon to graduate from University of Maryland with a degree in landscape management, and is enthusiastically putting forth his efforts towards the Sharper Cut team.  We have not stopped growing, but not at the customer’s expense.  


Our number one goal is to keep the customer happy, and this is part of our company’s philosophy. Today we have numerous trucks and pieces of equipment to serve your needs. When we first started we were only doing residential lawn mowing, but now we have multiple services: residential maintenance, commercial maintenance, residential landscaping, design services, aquascapes, winter maintenance and other services. If it deals with the outside, we can take care of it. We are a fully insured and licensed business. Our company is a family-run business, and we would be delighted to have the opportunity to serve you and enhance your outdoor living room.
